![]() FOURTH EDITION - COLLECTORS ISSUE 2001 This 4th limited edition collector’s item of CHURN features the "Chemical Messiah" interview which takes a step back to a translucent time once again approaching infinity. This in-depth article focuses on "Blotter Art" as a legitimate art form and will test all our pre-conceptions about reality and where we are going.... or not going. Also featured in this issue is an interview with San Francisco Audium creator Stan Shaff. For those who can't see, the Audium is an amazing sound system which experiments with all possible ways to create sound in an enclosed, almost visually sweltering pitch black environment. As for sheer genius, check out the Richard Gardelle interview and art definitely for the surreal at heart. I have yet to come across an artist of his caliber doing what he does with pen and ink inside the back of his van (where he lives) in the Mission. He is beyond Salvador Dali Other treats include Then there's Eklectic Edwin Garro Aka: UFO, artwork by Emily Andelin Hughes, An interview with Kurt Brown / Fuzzbucket. San Francisco's Illegal Soap Box Derby, interview with Rory O’ Connor. One of a kind glass sculputures by Czech artist Marek Fisar. A very special thanks to Mike Bohatch for his photo-illustration called "Subterranian Princess" (pg. 4) and finally, Artpiece by Jeff Monje "Peanut in a Shell ” ( pg.38).
