FIFTH EDITION - COLLECTORS ISSUE 2002
We are featuring and interview plus artwork with world renown artist Roger Dean (the artist who created the album covers for musical groups YES and Euriah Heep as well as "US an Them" (the album for Pink Floyd's Symphonic ).

Charles Gatewood is also featured in this issue with photos and an in-depth interview about his work. Mike Bohatch is also featured in this issue with incredible images from all the colors of darkness (Check out his website to see his incredible work!!). Mike Bohatch will be coming out with a movie called "Eyes Of Chaos". (Go to his website to find out more).

We also are featuring The Art Seal Gallery - ( photography feature) here in San Francisco, - Director Adam Gendell ( 1847 Larkin street @ Pacific ave ).

Joe Leonard - An awesome painter / tattooist is in this issue as well!! You can view his art here on our new website www.churnonline.com . We also have some artwork from Michael Onona (Just take a look and see what your missing)

Another great artist from Russia is featured as well - Slava Likhatchev. What he does with hands will amaze you!

We have a short story called "Escape Hatch" by Eric Gelber. Eric is a professional writer out of New York who also does gallery reviews, articles and interviews for Churn - As well as being an accomplished writer extraordinaire.
(Eric Gelber has written for other online publications as well) To contact Eric Gelber directly send email to EAGEAGEAG@aol.com

We also have a very, very interesting story about Saddam Hussain's book entitled "Zabibah and the King" Pre- September 11th. This extremely disturbing article has to do with the plagiarism of Jonathon Earl Bowser's artwork. (Jonathon Earl Bowser was featured in Churn's first issue - His painting entitled "The Awakening" was on the front cover of Churn as well as an indepth interview with Jonathon Earl Bowser by artist and publisher Jeff Monje)

Saddam Hussain - author of "Zabibah and the King" put the same image on the front cover of his book as well. ( All without permission!!) Plagairism is alive and well! what to do? Jonathon's other images were also put into Saddam's infamous book. This is a must read article!! Artists beware!! It's downright infuriating!

To read more about the article read article "The Artist and Dictator" on Jonathon's site. (Jonathon explains in his own words what he thinks about all this nonsense ).

Featured in this issue as well is the Green Street Mortuary Band here in San Francisco's North Beach area. This is a funeral marching band. For more info contact : Lisa Pollard @ 510-653-4981
All photography by Rebecca Pipes.
